Students on the meal plan can take an 8-week "Eating Smart" class taught by the Registered Dietitian. Although the class is not for credit, students will walk away with a wealth of useful nutrition information. Whether they are hoping to avoid the dreaded freshman fifteen or improve their current eating habits, this class is for them!

Weekly topics include assessing nutrient needs, personalizing an eating plan, incorporating exercise, dining out nutritiously, learning to read nutrition labels, and renovating recipes to cut calories and fat grams. The class is offered during the fall and spring semesters and enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
