Graduate
Student Luncheon is closed.
Thursday,

Salon 5
The SHA will again sponsor a luncheon for all
registered graduate students attending our meeting in Richmond.
The luncheon is offered free of charge, and funded by the John
and LaWanda Cox Fund, established in 2001 to promote the
interests of graduate students within the SHA and the history
profession.
This year's luncheon will feature a panel discussion by four exceptional graduate
mentors, who have directed numerous students at a number of institutions, and will use this
session to pass on some of the lessons learned in those roles, and from their own
experiences as graduate students.
Another purpose of this luncheon is to provide
a venue for students to get to know each other. We
encouraging students of like interests to sit together at
the luncheon.
In order to facilitate that, please indicate
on the registration form below your general area of interest-e.g.,
Civil War, civil rights, labor, women's history, colonial era,
etc.-and we will designate specific tables according to responses.
Please return this form with your preregistration
materials, or e-mail your intention to attend to the Secretary-Treasurer by
October 15. Due to limitations of space and funding, we will
not be able to include unregistered spouses or companions.
