Brian Todd is a recent PhD graduate from the Odum School of Ecology at The University of Georgia. Brian has had a lifelong
interest in reptiles and amphibians beginning with an early involvement
in the Georgia Herpetological Society at the age of 12. He finished his
BS in Ecology in 2000 and his MS in Conservation Ecology and Sustainable Development in 2002. He recently completed his PhD as a student researcher on several projects at SREL, including his dissertation research.
Brian's dissertation
research focused on aspects of amphibian movement, growth, and survival
in the terrestrial environment following forest harvesting. In collaboration
with other colleagues working on the LEAP
study, his work has helped identify some of the mechanisms that underlie
amphibian population declines in response to habitat alteration.
