This site has been designed to provide you, our valuable customer, with important information about your Award Winning Food Services program here at the University of Georgia. The Food Service program here at the University of Georgia is nationally recognized as being one of the best in the nation. Since 1986 the department has received 60 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards for Excellence, the National Restaurant Association Great Menu Design Award, the Food Management Industry Leadership Award, Bronze Medallion at the NACUFS Culinary Challenge, the IFMA Silver Plate Award for College Food Service Operator of the Year - 2002, and the prestigious Ivy Award for Excellence. Our customers are important to us, and it is our sincere desire to serve food in a courteous and friendly manner in pleasant surroundings. While on campus, come dine with us and meet our staff. The Food Service program, operated by the Auxiliary & Administrative Division of the University of Georgia, is a service for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Food Service Department is totally self-supporting and receives no funding from University, State or Federal sources. Food Service is operated very much like a commercial restaurant. All expense incurred, including the cost of food, payroll and operating expense, must be covered by revenue generated in the seventeen food service operations on campus. We strive to be diversified in our menu selections and to offer our customers a wide variety of service options and styles. Please visit each of these operations and discover our uniqueness.
