Museum visitors to vote on which painting to keep
The Georgia Museum of Art at UGA will host the exhibition "Deaccessioning Bernard Smol" May 25 to July 7 in the Martha Thompson Dinos Gallery. Due to limited storage space and evolving collecting philosophy, the museum staff has decided to remove from its collection all but one of Smol's five works.

Hike the Garden under the moon
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia will have a “Full Moon Hike” on May 25 from 7-8:30 p.m. Participants, who should meet at the fountain in front of the Visitor Center, will learn about the moon, constellations and nocturnal creatures. The cost is $5 per person or $15 per family.
Ramsey Center offering swim lessons
The Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities is offering a variety of summer “Learn to Swim” courses for preschoolers to adults in private to group settings. The sessions start on June 9, 17 and Aug. 15. See recsports.uga.edu for more details.
University to close for Memorial Day
In honor of all Americans who have died in wars, the university will commemorate Memorial Day. There will not be any classes and all offices will be closed on May 27.
