Meet Latham

Latham
Saddler is a second-year from Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to his work in Student Government, he is a member of Dean Bennett's Cabinet for Diversity. He was a BMOC for The BIG Event in the summer of 2002 and has also participated in 'Leadershape' through the Office of Leadership Development.

    • successfully completed the "Freshman 15" apartment evaluation guide, which was distributed to first-years
  • Terry College of Business Senator
    • sponsored a "Dinner with the Dean," allowing business students to ask Dean Benson questions about the new admission policy
  • Co-chair of SGA Student Life Committee
    • conducted a Weekend Bus survey, evaluating student needs
    • coordinated student self-defense classes
    • supported a bill for Domestic Partner Benefits for University employees
    • distributed safety cards with emergency phone numbers
  • Co-advisor of the 2002 Freshman Board
    • provided guidance for up-and-coming SGA leaders and supervised completion of the apartment/restaurant guide, "In the Loop"

Meet Ginny

Ginny
Barton is a third-year from Chapin, South Carolina. She is an active member of the Arch Society, the Georgia Recruitment Team, and was an Orientation Leader in the summer of 2002.

    • tackled a variety of projects, including a successful rally for longer dining hall hours at Bolton and an effort to introduce freshmen to their representatives
  • Senator for Franklin College of Arts and Sciences (2 years)
    • met with Dean Anderson regarding the needs of Arts and Science students
  • President Pro-Tempore (2 years)
    • maintained Senator accountability by enforcing attendance policies
  • Internal Affairs Committee Chair (2 years)
    • wrote and/or sponsored 20 pieces of Senate legislation in two years, including bills aimed at streamlining SGA and increasing Senator accountability.
