Author to discuss the Bartrams’ travels

Author Brad Sanders will talk about “An Itinerary of Discovery—Tracing the Bartrams Across the South” Sept. 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries auditorium. It is part of a series of events celebrating the 250th anniversary of John and William Bartram’s Natural History Expedition in Colonial Georgia. The presentation will be followed by a reception and gallery tour.

Football season opens at home

The Bulldog football team returns to the gridiron Sept. 5 at noon in Sanford Stadium to open the season against University of Louisiana-Monroe. The SEC Network will televise the game.

CSO sponsoring Fall Activities Fair
The Center for Student Organizations will have its Fall Activities Fair Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Tate Student Center Plaza. The fair will include around 250 student organizations looking to expand their reach. Participants will be able to find new involvement opportunities with those who share their interests.
