The University of Georgia encompasses 16 colleges and schools that offer a
wide range of educational opportunities. UGA's oldest college--the Franklin
College of Arts and Sciences--was founded in 1801. The most recent school is
the Eugene P. Odum School of Ecology, the world's first stand-alone ecology
school. Additionally the Faculty of Engineering offers some of UGA's newest
