International Student Life
Office
ISL assists international students in integrating into the
UGA campus through orientation, campus coffee hour, campus-wide
international events and programs and support of international
student clubs.
Travel
Medicine Clinic
Members of the university community who plan to travel abroad
should check out the Travel Medicine Clinic at the University
Health Center. The clinic offers a variety of information--about
immunizations, medical precautions, travel safety and handling
a medical emergency. Services at the clinic are open to students,
staff, faculty and the public.
Area Studies Programs
African Studies Institute
Disseminates information about Africa, its people, geography,
culture, languages, etc., offers a Certificate in African
Studies, instruction in 3 African languages, and supports
3 study abroad programs.
Asian Studies (Center for)
Provides instructional programs in Asian area studies and
languages and promotes and facilitates interaction between
UGA students and faculty and their Asian counterparts.
Latin American and Caribbean
Studies (Center for)
CLACS promotes Latin American culture on campus by coordinating
interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public service with
program dealing with Latin America and the Caribbean.
International Academic Programs
The Cox Center
for International Mass Communication
A center for international mass communication training and
research, the Cox Center encourages the development of a free
and independent press throughout the world.
The Dean
Rusk Center -- International, Comparative and Graduate Legal
Studies
Conducts research, presents conferences, promotes teaching,
and provides information concerning international and comparative
law.
GLOBIS (Center for the
Study of Global Issues)
Fosters educational and research activities focused on economic,
political, and socio-cultural change and development occurring
at the global level. Operates two study abroad programs.
International Agriculture
(Office of)
Administers an undergraduate Certificate in International
Agriculture, international internships, several study abroad
programs and the Peace Corps Master's International Program.
International Center for
Democratic Governance
Seeks to build the governance capacity of emerging democracies,
emphasizing the development of participatory, responsive,
transparent, and efficient governments.
School of Public and International Affairs
The School of Public and International Affairs houses three
departments: International Affairs, Political Science, and
Public Administration and Policy.
International Outreach Services
International
Public Service and Outreach (Office of)
Works to advance the University’s international agenda,
with particular attention to research and outreach programs.

Provides services to businesses seeking a global market for
a Georgia based product or service.

A non-profit organization affiliated with The University of
Georgia and devoted to research, teaching and outreach on
trade, technology and security issues.
