Requirements

Initiation into Alpha Epsilon Delta is conducted once a year. The announcement listing requirements and dates through which bids will be submitted is distributed via the AED listserv in mid-to-late February each year, with the induction ceremony usually held in early spring.

The requirements for active membership are:

(1) The student shall have completed at least 36 hours of semester course work, 12 hours and at least one science class of which must have been engaged in at the University of Georgia. In addition, the student must have a 3.2 science GPA, a 3.2 GPA overall, and a 3.2 GPA in course work done at the University of Georgia, including science courses.

(2) A student who meets these qualifications must pay national and local dues by the specified date. The one time due fees are TBA. NOTE: All members and non-members are welcome to meetings. Students can obtain more information from the Premedical Studies office: 111 Memorial Hall, (706) 542-0444.
