The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2004. Professor William Firor organized and chaired the department in 1929. From the beginning, the major goals of the department have been to teach students how to think, analyze problems, and care for Georgia agriculture. These goals continue to mark the department's programs as they grow and change. Several activities are scheduled to celebrate the 75th Anniversary. For more information watch the department's Website over the next few months. Mark your calender and plan to attend the following events!
