The J. W. Fanning Distinguished Professional Awards were presented by the Agricultural Economics Association of Georgia on November 4, 2005. Emily Howard, recipient of the Distinguished Young Professional Award, is Legislative Director in the office of Congressman Jack Kingston in Washington, D.C. Two Distinguished Professional Awards were presented to David Bennett, Executive Director of the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission, and Wilbur Mull, owner and operator of Classic Groundcovers, Inc., Classic Auction Co., and Classic Realty and Auction Co.
