The Graduate Student Association's 2005 Annual Fall Picnic was held September 24 at Sandy Creek Park. Despite confusing directions and a semi-hidden location, 34 students, faculty and family members successfully found the assigned picnic area. Veggie-dogs and beef and turkey burgers were consumed by attendees, along with an ample supply of desserts, which provided the children with high levels of energy. Events this year included little league soccer, frisbee (with help from some dogs) and “Keep-the-Grill-Hot,”
a new game which employed the aid of lighter fluid and some local tree species. The picnic provided a great opportunity for those in attendance to enjoy the festivities and to become better acquainted with each other.
