Charles Naglich, a project officer with the USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA), attended a project team meeting at Conner Hall in July 2005. RMA funds a partnership agreement with a UGA agricultural economics team led by Dr. Luanne Lohr, and including Dr. Cesar Escalante, Dr. Tim Park, and Tatiana Gubanova. The team is developing a model to forecast organic commodity prices and an online price risk management tool for farmers interested in organic production. The project is due to be completed in 2006.
