New UGA-Griffin graduates 'call the dawgs'
On May 10, 18 students received degrees at the UGA Griffin campus from five colleges: the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, the Terry College of Business and the College of Education. GMOA to host screening of circus film
A screening of “The World's Smallest Airport” (2012), the story of the Thrasher Brothers Aerial Circus produced and directed by Matt DeGennaro, will be held May 20 at 3 p.m. at GMOA. Following the film, a discussion with the writer and executive producer, Grady Thrasher, will be held.
NCAA women’s tennis finals to be played at UGA
The final rounds of the NCAA women’s tennis will be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex May 19 – 24.
Peabody Awards to be held May 21
Sir Patrick Stewart, the Peabody Award-winning star of stage and screen, Shakespeare plays and science-fiction blockbusters, will be the host of the 71st Annual George Foster Peabody Awards ceremony on May 21 in New York. The Peabody's, the oldest awards in broadcasting, are considered among the most prestigious and selective prizes in electronic media and were founded and in-residence at UGA.
