Dr. F. Richard Rohs
Professor
Current Activities:
Dr. Rohs currently serves as Graduate Coordinator
of the Master of Agricultural Leadership Program and
teaches graduate courses in Agricultural Leadership.
Currently, he teaches the following courses:
ALDR 7020- Program Evaluation
ALDR 7070- Program Development for Agricultural Leaders
ALDR 7080- Agricultural and Extension Administration
ALDR 7110- Special Problems in Agricultural Leadership
ALDR 7100- Directed Study in Agricultural Leadership
Dr. Rohs also serves as an Extension Staff Development
Specialist conducting educational workshops relating
to Program Planning and Evaluation, Managerial Assessment
and Skill Building, and Leadership Development.
Research Focus:
Dr. Rohs has published research in the areas of Leadership
Development, Program Evaluation , Volunteerism and Voluntary
Action.
Career Highlights:
Dr. Rohs heads up the Southern Extension Leadership
Development Program (SELD). The SELD program has involved
over 1,300 Extension faculty, staff and administrators
from over twenty 1890 and 1862 Land Grand Institutions
in 13 states. Journal articles and proceedings papers
have been published relating to this assessment and
competency building program.
Dr. Rohs has also received wide acclaim for his knowledge
and expertise in designing and implementing program
evaluations. his graduate course on program evaluation
has attracted graduate students from throughout the
University. His course is a requirement for graduate
students in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing
the Master of Non-Profit Studies Degree. his expertise
in program evaluation has been sought nationally by
the National 4-H Council, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation
and the Pew (Foundation) Partnership for Civic Change.
He has received national awards from the American
Evaluation Association's Extension Education Evaluation
Organization and received the UGA Honors Teaching
Award for his program evaluation course.
