The Alpha Psi chapter was established in May 1996 with the initiation of the Charter members for ATA at the University of Georgia. The Chapter has been established to be an honorary society at the University of Georgia and will be a silent partner in the UGA Collegiate FFA.

Membership:
To gain membership into the ATA Alpha Psi chapter, an undergraduate student must maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA, and a graduate student must maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA. New Members are initiated at the annual Spring FFA Awards Banquet.
