Conference to discuss Athens music issues


The Sports and Entertainment Law Society at Georgia Law will present its annual Protect Athens Music Conference March 3 at 4:30 p.m. at the 40 Watt Club, 285 W. Washington St. The conference focuses on the intersection of law, music and business for musicians, students, professionals and anyone interested in music or the music business. This year’s event will include two panels—one on record labels and another on publicity.

Men’s basketball team to host Missouri


The men’s basketball team will play the University of Missouri Feb. 8 at noon in Stegeman Coliseum. Tickets are $15. ESPNU will televise the game.


UGA Symphony to perform in Hodgson Hall
The UGA Symphony Orchestra will perform March 4 at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center. Under the direction of Mark Cedel, the orchestra will offer a performance of classic orchestral literature. Tickets are $10, or $5 with a UGA student ID.
