Dive Down Deep
Pre-Kindergarten (ages 4-5 / 15 student minimum / 30 student
maximum) 1 hr. Take an ocean journey to discover many of
coastal Georgia's marine animals. Be prepared for live animals,
aquarium activities, and fish games. Follow this program
with a nature hike on your own and a picnic lunch on the
bluff!
Times: 10:00 am - 11:00 am or 11:00 am -12:00 noon.

Sea
Star Program
Grades K - 4 (20 student minimum / 50 student maximum) 2
hrs. This program is grade-specific so each year returning
students learn something new! It typically includes an introductory
video, a visit to the touch tanks, and aquarium activities.
We encourage groups to utilize our beautiful picnic area
and nature trail after the program is over.
Times: 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.

To schedule your class for the Sea Star and Dive Down Deep
programs, email or
call the scheduling coordinator at (912) 598-2335.
We start accepting reservations in late August for the upcoming
school year. When you call, please have several dates in
mind in case your first choice is unavailable. Please be
prepared to provide the following information when you call:
1) Your name 2) Your school's name 3) Your school's address
4) School's telephone and fax number 5) Grade level and number
of students you intend to bring Deposits & Cancellations:
A $50 deposit is required for the Sea Star program and a
$25 deposit is required for Dive Down Deep. Once your deposit
is received, your pre-trip packet will be mailed to you.
Deposits are fully refundable if a cancellation is received
at least 30 days prior to your scheduled visit. Deposits
are non-refundable if a cancellation is received within 30
days of your scheduled trip date. Pre-trip packets for these
programs will be sent in advance upon receipt of the deposit.
Chaperones & Fees: MECA requires that an adequate number
of chaperones attend and participate in scheduled programs.
For all programs, one chaperone is required for every 10
students (i.e., 2 chaperones for 15-20 students, 3 chaperones
for 21-30 students, 4 chaperones for 31-40 students, 5 chaperones
for 41-50 students) and will attend free of charge. Additional
chaperones for all programs are charged the student rate
(listed above). Teachers and chaperones are responsible for
students and must accompany them at ALL TIMES.
Arrival Times: Please be prompt! Plan to arrive early to
allow time for the group leader to check in. Groups arriving
late will have an abbreviated program. All programs will
end at their originally scheduled time. No refunds or discounted
fees are given for late arrivals.
