The Arch Foundation for the University of Georgia, Inc. operating budget is developed under the direction of the Chair of the Finance and Compensation Committee and Treasurer of Arch.  Arch's Finance and Compensation Committee and the full Board of Trustees approve the budget.

Budget subcommittees appointed by the Chair of the Finance and Compensation Committee work with Arch Administration and staff to analyze budget proposals as well as mission and goal statements submitted by the University Administration.  Subcommittee expenditure proposals are presented to the full Finance and Compensation Committee for final review and comparison to projected revenue figures as presented by the Director of Finance.

After any final adjustments have been made, the Chair of the Finance and Compensation Committee presents the budget to Arch Finance and Compensation Committee and the Board of Trustees.

During the year, amendments may be made between accounts, as program needs dictate.  Such amendments require approval of Financial Services.  Amendments that would increase the total budget also require approval by Arch 's Executive Committee or Finance and Compensation Committee.

The Director of Finance will prepare periodic reports of budgeted versus actual expenditures.  Such reports will be made available to the Chairman of the Finance and Compensation Committee and Treasurer of Arch as well as those persons responsible for the various budgets.
