On Tuesday, March 28, 2006, Dr. Robert Tykot spoke to a gathering of faculty and students as part of the Center for Archaeological Sciences (CAS) 2005-2006 Lecture Series.  Tykot, Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of South Florida, delivered a lecture entitled They are What They Ate: Bone Chemistry and Ancient Diets.

Are you interested in archaeology but don't know how to get started? The Center for Archaeological Sciences offers an interdisciplinary certificate in the archaeological sciences for undergraduate students currently enrolled at the University of Georgia who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.0. Students working toward the certificate take courses on scientific methods in archaeology on cultures known from archaeological excavations. They also earn credit for field and laboratory experiences. Courses included in the certificate program are offered by Anthropology, Art History, Classics, Geography, and Geology.
