Learning to serve and serving to learn:
“With service-learning, you don’t have to speculate on the application of what you are learning because you are actually doing it,” says adult education professor Richard Kiely, whose students have developed community-based projects from Athens, Georgia, to Tanzania. MORE

Recognition Opportunities

Since its formal establishment in 1910, the Graduate School at the University of Georgia has inspired leadership and quality in scholarly pursuits. By promoting excellence in graduate education, the Graduate School continues to build collegial and mutually supportive relationships with all constituencies. Fostering learning environments and contributing to outstanding achievement in discovery, scholarship, and service are priorities as the Graduate School nears its centennial celebration.

It is through gifts and other financial commitments that the Graduate School is able to provide a world-class education to the exceptional students who choose to study at the University of Georgia. There are many avenues for support and there are many needs. Every gift received is a wise investment in the development of our future leaders, thinkers, and doers. As the Graduate School begins to lay the foundation for the next 100 years, commitments to academic achievements and opportunities become more important than ever.
