Course objectives:
Students will be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write basic Korean sentences, and they will learn fundamentals in inter-personal relationships in Korean culture.

Requirements:
1. Daily homework assignments
2. One 10-minute video production (group project)
3. Bi-weekly e-mail correspondence with a Korean native speaker in Korean

1. Bi-weekly e-mail: 24 points (4 X 6)
2. Midterm: 20 points
3. Homework: 10 points
4. Video production: 25 points
5. Final exam: 21 points

Final grades:
A: 100-90 B: 89-80 C: 79-70 D: 69-60 F: 59-0

Attendance Policy:
*If you miss more than 5 classes, your final grade will be an F.
*There are no make-up exams except for medical reasons.
*If you turn in homework assignment one day later, you will get maximum 5 points out of 10. Homework older than two days is not accepted.
*If you fail to turn in more than 7 homework assignments, your final grade will go down by one letter.
