Starting at sundown tonight, members of the Baha'i faith celebrate the BIRTH OF BAHA'U'LLAH, their prophet founder. Born into a wealthy and noble family, he and others in his family were imprisoned and lost all their possessions after he announced his new religion in Teheran, Persia, in 1817.
Tomorrow, Muslims celebrate LALLAT AL-BARA'AH, or NIGHT OF REPENTANCE. According to Muslim tradition, this is the night God approaches the earth to call humans and to grant forgiveness of sins.
