About the Black Tie Party
The students of the University of Georgia are the primary reason for the existence of this institution, and the primary stakeholders in its operations. The Black Tie Party exists to preserve, defend, and expand the rights of students at UGA.
The Black Tie Party of the University of the Georgia is a group of students committed to improving the student experience at the University. We believe in dedicating ourselves to helping this hallowed institution and its student body realize their full potentials in all areas.
Black Tie was founded in the fall of 2004 and became an officially registered student organization at the end of that semester. We are a student advocacy organization that exists to fight for the students of UGA. We intend to advocate, serve, and lead -- all in the name of bettering our University and the student experience.
For more information on how to join us in working for our fellow students, please visit our Get Involved page. We are not a political-interest group, and welcome any and all contributions from members of the UGA community.
