UGA researchers develop new brain map
Tianming Liu, assistant professor of computer science at UGA, and students Dajiang Zhu and Kaiming Li identified 358 landmarks throughout the brain related to memory, vision, language, arousal regulation and many other fundamental bodily operations. With this map, they hope to create a next-generation brain atlas.

GMOA to feature landscapes on tour
The Georgia Museum of Art will host its weekly Tour at Two on May 23 from 2-3 p.m. in the gallery. Paul Manoguerra, chief curator and curator of American art at GMOA, will showcase landscapes during the tour.
UGA hosting NCAA tennis finals
UGA is the site for the NCAA men’s and women’s tennis finals, which will be played this week at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Post-intentional phenomenological research workshop offered
UGA's College of Education will offer a two-day workshop for qualitative researchers, instructors of qualitative research methods and graduate students who have introductory knowledge of phenomenological research on May 24-25 at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center at the Georgia Center. Participants will learn about the philosophical and methodological foundations of the presenter's techniques. This workshop is designed to be primarily application oriented.
