Call your best friends to attend this festive party filled with ideas about holiday entertaining. Lori Kunkle of Posh Pots will serve tea and treats in her unique, creative style and then Atlanta event designers Kathy Rainer and Tricky Wolfes of Parties To Die For will demonstrate floral arranging for the holidays. Ticket sales for this fundraiser will support the new Horticulture Complex. A package of eight tickets reserves a table in a prime location. One lucky ticket holder will take home a beautiful arrangment created that morning; every guest will receive a gift from Posh Pots. Call 706-542-1244.

Holiday Open House

This year's Holiday Open House at the State Botanical Garden offers free, festive family entertainment inside the tropical Conservatory, which will be decorated for the holidays. This year's holiday decor will celebrate birds in the garden with 'An Audubon Winter'. Musical entertainment includes performances by The Georgia Children's Chorus, The Solstice Sisters and The Classic City Band.
A professional photographer will take posed photos as Santa and Mrs. Claus listen to children's wishes. Young children will enjoy a puppet show and crafts in the new classrooms and adults can browse the Garden Gift Shop for holiday ornaments and presents. Special holiday drinks and treats will be available for sale at the Gardenside Cafe. Bring the entire family for a special holiday afternoon at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Celebrate Valentine's Day a little early at Twilight Toasts, an eclectic event that combines a wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, live music and an art exhibit - all in a tropical conservatory. Wine selection will be by Five Points Bottle Shop and hors d'oeuvres by Trumps Catering. Ernest 'Bubba' Beasley and Jason Royer will be playing jazz on bass and guitar. So gather with friends or break away from your evening routine and come to the Garen for a fun, yet relaxing evening.
