Costs and Accommodations
Program fees cover expenses of all in-country travel, guides, lecturers, hosts, museum fees, socials, accommodations, and meals. The estimated cost for 2009 is $2000. Not covered by the program fees are tuition (federal or state financial aid [including HOPE] may be used), student fees, passport fees, and airline tickets. Students are encouraged to obtain their airline reservations early and to investigate the many reduced fees available to students traveling abroad. Many scholarships are available through the UGA Office of International Education.
No vaccines are needed for travel to Bulgaria, and there is no Visa requirement, only a passport is needed.
Accommodations will be in small to medium sized hotels. Two students will share a room. Amenities include cable TV; internet access; modern, European bathroom facilities; air conditioning; and restaurant facilities in or near the hotel.
