Radiological Response System
The CAIS has constructed and completed a demonstration field test of a prototype radiation monitoring system that can be used to map radiation levels along roadway and railway transportation corridors. Operable from automotive, rail-based, or airborne survey platforms, the system provides valuable information on current radiological levels and a ready baseline for comparison in the event of an accidental release of radioactive materials to the environment.
