“Local Bands Live” concert series gives musicians a showcase at UGA
ATHENS, Ga – The University Union Student Programming Board’s Entertainment Division will host “Local Bands Live,” a series of concerts on the University of Georgia’s Tate Student Center Plaza every Friday in April. Bands will perform from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on April 11, 18, and 25.
Bands scheduled to perform include: April 11 – The Vinyl Strangers and Parasite Shoes; April 18 – Mouser & Quiet Hooves and The Vulpines; and April 25 – Strokewood and Brendan O’Hara.
Designed to give local talent an opportunity to play live in front of a University audience, the concert series is free and open to the public.
