Library Notes - Please return all library books, tapes and resources before you leave for vacation so that items may be used by community members during the summer.

Welcome to the Catholic Center's Mary Kerr Library - We invite all of our members to acquaint themselves with the Catholic Center library. Books and videos on various topics of religion and spirituality are available for checkout. We have recently acquired a comprehensive collection of the works of noted spiritual writer, Henri Nouwen.

This library is yours. It has been established as a quiet place for you to study. We have purchased many new books across topics such as prayer, spirituality, theology, Christology, etc., to add to the existing holdings, for you to use as you seek to deepen your faith.

You will find a wide variety of topics about the Catholic faith in the Catholic Update series in the file cabinet. Please use these as you identify topics about which you would like to know more. As you finish reading each, if you do not need to keep your copy, please return it to the sorting shelf so that others might benefit from it as you did.

Circulation Policy - All books, video tapes and audio tapes that have circulation cards in them can be checked out. There is no time limit on use of materials, but we suggest a two week checkout time. All books identified as "resource materials" can only be used in the library.

Book Loan Procedure - Books with Cards:

• Print your name and the date you borrow the book on the card that is in the book.
• Place the card in the blue box alphabetically by title.
• When you return the book, take the card from the box, mark through your name and the date and place the card back in the book.
• Return the book to the "book return" section on the shelf.

Food & Drink - PLEASE: No food or drinks allowed in the library. If you need a break there is a nice new patio in front with a statue of St. Francis that is conducive to meditation; also, a patio is out back.
