We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Between two criminals,
a mocking title above his head, with only Mary and John and Mary Magdalene
to support him, Jesus surrenders his last breath: "Into your hands
I commend my spirit."
You died, O Jesus. I will die too. I don't know when or where or how. My earthly life will end and my eternity will begin. You said we should always be ready. I will stay in your love and grace always. Then I will always be ready. |
