Where You'll Find Spirituality, Community & Fun
Are you looking for a welcoming Catholic community where you can attend mass with 500 other students, grow in your faith along with others going through similar experiences, volunteer your time to those in need or just play a round of ping pong between classes? If so, then the Catholic Center at the University of Georgia is the place for you!
The Catholic Center has something for everyone. Undergraduates can attend Catholic Student Association (CSA) activities, while graduate students get involved with the Graduate Student/Young Professionals Fellowship (GSYPF).
Catholic Student Association
The Catholic Student Association is an organization that serves all Catholic students at UGA. The purpose of CSA is to foster the spiritual, social, personal and educational growth of the students involved. There is no need to "join" CSA; just register with us so we know you're out there. All Catholic students at UGA are already members of CSA!! There are no dues!!!!! Peer Ministry
Peer Ministry consists of a team of eight undergraduate students whose purpose is to organize and facilitate activities for CSA. They plan a retreat each semester, run weekly CSA fellowship meetings, coordinate outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, caving, and sports activities and facilitate service projects. CSA Retreats
CSA retreats are weekend-long getaways where undergraduate students can grow together in faith and fellowship. They take place outside of Athens, usually in the North Georgia mountains. There is one retreat planned for each semester. Students have said that these retreats are lots of fun. The retreats are often used as mini-vacations for hard working students who need time to themselves, to get away from academic pressures, relax with God and have some fun with other students.
