Bryan Early
Bryan Early is a Research Assistant at the Center and a doctoral student in the Department of International Affairs at the University's School of Public and International Affairs, where he also teaches political science. He has expertise in nonproliferation and export control issues in the Middle East, economic sanctions, and free trade zones. Mr. Early currently directs the Center's Security Leadership Program.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in Politics in 2004 and received an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia in the Spring of 2006. His experience includes an internship with the office of Sen. Herb Kohl’s (D-WI) in Washington, DC; working at the Alsos Digital Library for Nuclear Issues; and serving as a program coordination assistant for the 2005 Teaching Nonproliferation Summer Institute. His research interests include Middle Eastern politics, international trade security, economic statecraft, and nonproliferation. In March of 2008, Mr. Early was accepted into the fellowship program at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
