Strategic Trade Control
Strategic Trade Control Programs
The strategic trade control program at CITS focuses on controlling proliferation-related trade. Strategic trade controls, namely government efforts to regulate and monitor the trade in sensitive weapons and related technologies, are a critical tool for reducing the risk of dangerous weapons falling into the wrong hands and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in the ever-expanding global economy. The strategic trade control program includes research, outreach, and training projects aimed at strengthening export controls internationally.
