Clean Marina Pledge
The Georgia Clean Marina
Program promotes and recognizes voluntary adoption of Best Management
Practices (BMP's) to reduce waterway pollution from marinas and boats.
Certified Clean Marinas are recognized as environmentally responsible
businesses.

I pledge to work to keep Georgia's waterways free of harmful chemicals,
nutrients and debris.
I will identify opportunities and implement practices to control pollution
associated with:
- Stormwater Runoff
- Fueling Operations
- Solid and Liquid Waste Handling
- Vessel Operations, Maintenance and Repair
- Sewage Disposal
- Facilities Management
- Marina Emergencies
I commit to actively pursue full standing as a Georgia Clean Marina.
Within one year of the date below, I will implement appropriate pollution
prevention practices and will apply to the University of Georgia Marine
Extension Service for certification as a Georgia Clean Marina.
