The
Center for Leadership & Service strives to encourage, support, and
shape a culture of civic responsibility through the use of
leadership & service education, service opportunities, and experiential
learning, thus empowering leaders to make positive impacts on our
campus and in their communities.
An Advisory Board is essential in order to fulfill this mission and
to ensure that these programs remain vibrant and of the highest
quality. This board is composed of individuals from across the state
who have expressed an interest in the development of leadership &
service
skills as a part of the UGA experience and who, in their own lives,
have demonstrated a personal commitment to serve their communities
in various leadership & service positions.
The responsibilities of the Leadership & Service Advisory Board are:
- To receive an annual report on the programs and events presented,
- To recommend new programs and/or changes in the existing programs,
- To assist in the identification and invitation of prominent
leaders who will participate in Center for Leadership & Service programs
- To assist in the identification and solicitation of funding
sources for specific programs and to create endowments for Center
for Leadership & Service programs at UGA.
