About LRT
Mission
The Leadership Resource Team (LRT) is an organization devoted to improving the University of Georgia and Athens-Clarke County by fostering the personal and professional development of student leaders on campus and in the community. Within LRT, a diverse group of 25 dynamic student leaders learn to harness their leadership, presentation, and people skills and take what they learn and project it to others through presentations to all organizations requesting them, through T.O.P. Dog programs, through the Georgia Collegiate Leadership Conference, through LeaderNotes, and through community involvement.
Purpose
The Leadership Resource Team is an organization comprised of student leaders committed to the development of student organizations. The main focus of LRT is to act as a consultant to organizations by providing programs on leadership topics at their request. In addition, the group offers opportunities for personal, professional, and civic development through campus-wide and statewide programming made available to all students interested in leadership.
LRT hosts the Georgia
Collegiate
Leadership Conference, which is open to students from across the State of
Georgia.
LRT also sponsors the Leadership Success Series,
consisting of lectures and programs offering learning opportunities
that will benefit any interested student, along with the T.O.P. Dog program, a
series of workshops and presentations aimed at improving a student’s
leadership skills.
LRT also publishes LeaderNotes, a series of one-page
information sheets on various topics available at selected locations
around campus.
