Volunteer UGA

Interested in Joining Volunteer UGA? The Process is Simple!

Applications to be a sponsored organizations is complete for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please check back in Fall 2010.

Volunteer UGA has undergone some exciting changes in the past year, and it is continuing to grow in order to more successfully fulfill its purpose as the primary community service resource organization for UGA. There are already several outstanding organizations affiliated with Volunteer UGA, but there are many more in the UGA community that could benefit from the resources provided by Volunteer UGA. Therefore, we are inviting your service-oriented organizations, to be part of Volunteer UGA.

Benefits

The benefits of being part of Volunteer UGA include financial support, access to office space, and free registration to the annual volunteer fair. However, the greatest benefits come from the collaboration encouraged by the structure of Volunteer UGA. As a part of the Center for Leadership and Service, you will be closely connected to groups with similar passions and interests. You will have access to a much broader volunteer pool through the Volunteer UGA listserv and collaboration with other organizations, including access to a master calendar of events. You will also have the support and experience of an executive board and representatives from numerous organizations to make your organization as strong as possible.

Process

Requirements:

  1. Must be a registered student organization through the Center for Student Organizations.
  2. Must be a service-based organization where service/volunteerism/philanthropy is the main component to the purpose/mission of the organization.
  3. Must be willing to be a part of service based family who encourages collaboration, education and civic engagement!
