Short term opportunities to fulfill Course Requirements:
If you are looking to volunteer because you have a short term service requirement for a course, then we try to refer to groups or agencies that DO NOT requires a commitment. Any agency or group that MATCHES students to children, families, or elderly people is a commitment. We don’t want students putting in their 20 hours with a child who forms an attachment, and then leaving because they are finished with their hours. The hope is that in doing the service work, students will enjoy their time serving and then get hooked, but we don’t want to take that chance.
