What is the purpose of the LSRC?
The LSRC is available to members of all registered student organizations. The LSRC is stocked with resource materials, books, magazines, and initiative information both within Service & Leadership components.
You can also find:
- Material related to local agencies, communities, and programs in need of volunteers
- Database of UGA volunteers
- Volunteer hour tracking
- Information about internships, summer programs, service learning courses, and post-collegiate volunteer opportunities
- Resource literature ranging on topics from education to poverty
In addition there are five fully equipped computers, two laser printers and two scanners, and is available to assist student organizations in accomplishing their goals.
Who can use the LSRC?
Located in 234 Memorial Hall, the LSRC is open for student organization use only. Organization officers, individual members, and entire student groups may take advantage of the resources provided in the LSRC. The LSRC should be used to assist these persons with the different phases of organizational development and not for personal projects.
When is the LSRC open?
The LSRC is open daily from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Does it cost anything to use the facility?
No, use of the LSRC is free! The LSRC is available to student groups at no cost, thanks to a generous donation by the Georgia Fund through the Parents' Campaign.
What if I need assistance using the LSRC resources?
If you need assistance with any of the materials found in the LSRC, please contact any one of the Program Office Staff members. They will be more than happy to assist you with any of the resources in the LSRC. |
