MRIL Molecular Biology Module

Genetic engineering can be used to provide overexpressed (metallo)proteins in natural or mutated forms for investigation. This module provides a variety of molecular biology instrumentation necessary for cloning and sequencing (metallo)protein genes, and expressing and sequencing (metallo)proteins. Expertise is provided to help non-experts with these tools. This module takes advantage of many of the tools available in the UGA Molecular Genetics Instrument Facility.
