Welcome to the Community/Campus Coalition for the Prevention of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse in Athens-Clarke County and the University of Georgia. Created in 2003, the Coalition promotes a multi-pronged approach to addressing issues surrounding high-risk alcohol use and illegal drug use in our community.

The Coalition's membership is broad and diverse -- educators, business owners, government officials, law enforcement, public health, parents, students, the faith community, and other interested parties -- but our goals are the same.  We hope to reduce high-risk, irresponsible use of alcohol, especially among our young people; to educate middle school, high school, and college students and their parents about making responsible, low-risk, and legal choices concerning alcohol and other drugs, and to establish a strong partnership between the university and the community in addressing these important issues.
