Two College of Education students are among only a dozen across the nation to receive national scholarships from Kappa Delta Epsilon, an honorary professional education fraternity.

Julia Bellezza and Jennifer Kozel received the prestigious scholarships that include a $750 award. The scholarship is given each year to support students who demonstrate excellence in academia and service in pursuit of a degree in education.

Bellezza, of Douglasville, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She serves as secretary in the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of KDE.

Kozel, of Alpharetta, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in special education. She is a council member on the executive board of the UGA chapter.
