Two teams of graduate students in the college student affairs administration program claimed first and fourth places against 20 other student teams in a case study competition at a recent regional conference.

Competing in teams of two, second-year master’s students Matt Garrett and Mallory Trochesset placed first in the Southern Association of College Students Affairs Conference’s case study competition. Master’s students Jonathan Duke and Elizabeth Woodward placed fourth.

Each team in the competition is given a case and a short period of time to prepare their response. The team presents its response in front of a panel of judges made up of faculty and senior student affairs officers.

Students in the program, which is based in the College of Education’s department of counseling and human development services, swept the competition last year, claiming first, second and third places.
