King Week volunteers
The annual community service project in celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. is scheduled this year for Jan. 19-22. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least an hour for one of these activities:
• Assist students in Clarke County schools--Jan. 19, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
• Serve as after-school mentors for students--Jan. 20, 3-6 p.m.
• Assist in voter registration in Athens--Jan. 19-21, noon-6 p.m.
• Help with Habitat for Humanity house construction--Jan. 22.
Volunteer forms and waiver of liability forms have been sent to department heads and are also available in 404 Memorial Hall. They should be returned to 404 Memorial Hall by Jan. 13, and volunteers will learn their assigned location and time by Jan. 18.

Staff newsletter
The current issue of the Staff Council newsletter, The Staff Voice, is now available on line. Select the “newsletter” link on the Staff Council Web page (www.uga.edu/ugasc/).

Ramsey Student Center hours
Beginning Jan. 10, the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities will be open until midnight from Monday through Thursday. The full weekly schedule of 112 hours per week will be:
Sunday: noon-11 p.m.
Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-midnight
Friday: 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
This schedule will be in effect through spring semester.

WebCT workshops
University Computing and Networking Services and the Office of Instructional Support and Development will offer workshops on WebCT and related topics during spring semester. The workshop schedule and a description of each workshop can be found at http://webct.uga.edu on the “Faculty Resources, Workshop and Seminars” link.

Parent support groups
The School Psychology Clinic in UGA’s College of Education is sponsoring Social Skills Training and Parent Support Groups on Monday nights beginning Jan. 24, 6-7 p.m. The service is offered in the School Psychology Clinic. The fee for the eight-week workshop is based on family income. Call 542-4265 for additional information.
