| College of Education Jeri Benson, professor of educational psychology, has been named associate dean for academic affairs at the College of Education, effective Jan. 1.International Development Steve Wrigley has been named interim director of the Office of International Development. Wrigley succeeds Harlan Davis, who retired in September. Wrigley, who already has assumed his duties as interim director of international development, will continue to serve as director of the International Center for Democratic Governance at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Sponsored Programs The Office of the Vice President for Research recently appointed David L. Mineo as director of sponsored programs. Mineo comes to UGA after 20 years at the National Institutes of Health. During his career with NIH, he worked in four different institutes. For the past 13 years, he served as the chief grants management officer for two separate NIH institutes. |
