Exhibiting artists receive a small fee, publicity, an opening reception, and assistance in installation of the exhibit.
Applications are available at the information desk in the Tate Student Center and should be returned by the deadline of March 3 along with 5-10 slides of artwork, a current résumé, an artist statement and a self-addressed stamped envelope for returning slides.

Writing think tank
The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences Writing-Intensive Program will host a “Writing in the Disciplines Think Tank,” open to all faculty and staff, on March 17 from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. in the Tate Student Center Reception Hall. Along with guidelines for “Designing a Writing-Intensive Course,” the program will feature UGA Writing-Intensive Program faculty from the sciences and the humanities who will present strategies and invite discussion. The session’s goal is to develop faculty expertise in addressing student writing as a way to deepen the learning experience in all the disciplines. Register in advance online at parallel.park.uga.edu/~mballif/register.html; on-site registration also accepted. For further information, contact Michelle Ballif (542-1261; mballif@arches.uga.edu).
