| CATHY SEAGRAVES Data Collection Coordinator Office of Curriculum Systems YEARS IN CURRENT POSITION: Four.TYPICAL DAY: I review and edit degree requirements from the schools, colleges and departments before they are approved by the University Council Curriculum Committee. The requirements have to meet University of Georgia and board of regents policies. I also provide up-to-date information regarding the universitys core curriculum. MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT OF MY JOB: The switch from the quarter system to the semester system has been the biggest challenge. With the new semester system all of the courses changed; therefore, all of the degree requirements had to be updated. MOST REWARDING ASPECT OF MY JOB: The people I work with . . . we are like a family. They are like sisters to me, and know me better than I know myself sometimes. OFF-THE-JOB INTERESTS: I love to run. I run an average of five miles a day. You can usually catch me running down Prince Avenue, Milledge Avenue or East Campus Road on my lunch hour. FAVORITE MUSIC: Mostly contemporary New-Age music. AN ISSUE THAT CONCERNS ME MOST ABOUT TODAYS WORLD: Stray animals! People need to spay and neuter their pets. |
