New director named for UCNS
Effective April 1, Greg Ashley became director of University Computing and Networking Services.
“Greg brings to this position a demonstrated record of managerial effectiveness and leadership which bodes well for UCNS in the future,” says Walter McRae, acting chief information officer and associate provost.
McRae also announced that, effective April 3, Kirk Bertram will be assigned to the Office of the CIO as the acting executive director for administration and management planning. Bertram most recently served as the director of the university’s Millennium Readiness Office. Prior to that, he was the associate vice president for research administration.
